Brief

To develop initial feasibility scheme through to detailed design for 120 apartments on a prominent town centre site.

Solution 

Building structure was rationalised and apartments were redesign to fit exactly within structural grid rising from basement car park.  Opportunity was also taken to rationalise fire escape whilst still maintaining full height feature glazed entrance atrium. 
 To respect urban design footprint building gable was redesigned to respect the converging roads bounding the site to create a dynamic corner feature including tapering balconies from the living spaces.
