A phased programme of demolitions and construction is planned in order to achieve the development objectives with the minimum of disruption. The overriding objective of the architectural design is to create buildings which reflect the grand and impressive scale of a stately home set in the landscaped grounds of a country estate. The Hotel features a striking curved mall and external façade which utilizes the natural site levels to give panoramic views across the woodland and lake. Negotiations for Approval of Reserved Matters are currently being discussed with Planners following receipt of outline planning consent earlier this year. As part of the planning application, DKS produced a 3min. computer generated video sequence in full DVD quality incorporating digital audio soundtrack, interactive menus and photo galleries of existing and proposed site visuals.
