Brief

To produce a sensitive conversion for the arrangement of the existing farmhouse and outbuildings into high quality residential units for private sale on the fringe of Catterick village.

Solution

Working closely with the Conservation Officer to preserve the character of the existing building arrangement, we developed a scheme for 12 no. residential two and three bedroomed units which retained the features and character of the agricultural buildings and courtyards to create a unique development of maketable properties for private sale. It was discovered that part of the outbuildings had been used as a jail and this was carefully preserved within the converted scheme.
